SmartCEO’s Brava Awards program celebrates high-impact female business leaders in three categories: CEOs, Executive Directors of Nonprofits, and C-suite executives. Brava award winners combine their irrepressible entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for giving back to the community and are exemplary leaders of both their companies and their communities. They encourage local philanthropy, mentor up-and-coming leaders and set their companies on the path to tremendous growth. Each year, an independent committee of local business leaders selects winners based on company growth, community impact and mentoring. SmartCEO shares their inspiring stories in SmartCEO magazine and celebrates their success at a high-energy awards gala.
Helen’s illustrious career started as a critical care nurse, and has continued to flourish ever since. Some of Helen’s highlights as President and CEO of LiveOnNY include, establishing a LiveOnNY Foundation, enhancing donor services for New York families, rebranding the 38-year old organization, as well as playing a key role in launching New York’s first face transplant program.
The work Helen does is truly inspiring, and literally life-changing. Because of her hard work, expertise, and determination, she was selected to participate in President Obama’s White House Summit on Organ Donation, which is an absolute honor.
LiveOnNY’s mission statement is, “Save lives, provide comfort, and strengthen legacies through organ, eye and tissue donation,” and their company vision is, “A world in which the power of organ, eye and tissue donation is fully realized.” LiveOnNY stands by their mission and vision statements, and is 100% making a difference in our communities.
Again, please visit and support LiveOnNY, and help me in congratulating our fellow Vistage NYC member, Helen Irving, in winning this coveted, 2017 Brava Award.
