Vistage NYC Group member Eliza Harris shares how her Vistage Key Executive group makes her a better leader. A Key Executive Group is different from a CEO Vistage Group in that it consists of C-Level Executives such as COOs, CFOs, CXOs, VPs, and Directors who want to bring their leadership to the next level. Often the Key Executive’s CEO is a member of a Vistage CEO group and they both see the same Vistage Expert Speaker Workshop in the same week, giving them common ground to discuss the application of new ideas they both learned.
Eliza is the COO of Indagare Travel, a membership-based luxury travel company that provides rich editorial content combined with the services of a boutique, in-house travel agency. She designs, implements and oversees business operations, including key initiatives around systems and processes.
Eliza’s Vistage NYC group helps her work on her business, not in her business, and it helps her see her blindspots. Eliza’s been a member of the Vistage New York Group for just over one year. A serious learner, Eliza enrolled in the Vistage Executive Leadership Program in Collaboration with Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Indagare Travel’s mission is to give sophisticated, passionate travelers the information and tools that will enable them to discover authentic experiences and make remarkable journeys.1 Previously, she spent six years in the world of high-end travel magazines, as the Managing Editor of Town & Country Travel and the Executive Editor of Departures. She also worked at Garden Design and Random House. She graduated from Brown University in 1991. A serious foodie, Eliza has served as a judge for the James Beard Journalism Awards. She lives in Westchester with her husband and three sons. 2
